Each row is one tag or combination of tags. Total supply is how many will ever exist: if any tag in the combination is a closed set — Pizza, Silk Road, a specific block or year — the whole combination is closed and Total equals Mined. Mined is what exists so far, Burned what is provably unspendable forever. Hover a column header for its definition.
Active B210k / B420k / B630k count sats held by an address that received funds after block 210,000 (2012-11-28), 420,000 (2016-07-09) or 630,000 (2020-05-11) — the first three halvings; Active 365d uses the last 365 days. They are a proxy for sats that are not lost or dormant, measured per address, not per sat.
Sequestered means a sat sitting alone in a UTXO of 1,000 sats or less — deliberately isolated so it can be moved or listed on its own. Collectors are the distinct addresses holding sequestered sats, excluding addresses with more than 10 BTC, so exchanges, custodians and dormant early wallets stay out. Holders is every address holding one of these sats, most of them unaware. Ranks are per address, so a collector spread over several addresses ranks lower than they should.
Every tag gets a tier from its active B630k circulation — sats held by an address that has received bitcoin at or after block 630,000 (2020-05-11, the third halving). It is a proxy for sats that are not lost or dormant, measured per address, not per sat. Base is over 1,000,000 active sats and only single-dimension tags; Classic is 10,000 to 1,000,000; the S tiers are fewer than 10,000, 1,000, 100 and 10 — down to the last of its kind.
Combinations larger than 2,000,000 sats are not computed. Tags follow ord (Ordinal Theory) where ord defines them; the composites and the S-tier measurements are this site's own.
